Hello, anyone got any details on this? Just bought a 4x4 Engine complete ready to run with 2WD gearbox and all electrics. Just wondering about intercooler and rad, and piping for it all.
My first project so Im not the experienced of people!
Cheers

As for the car, Ive got a group 4 body shell kit sat at home waiting to go in along with a custom cages multipoint, so Im looking to go as close to rally spec as possible, but wont see more than a few track days from me!
Ive seen a few on the turbosport forums already but theres no info on what intercooler or radiator setups they use. I know of the rad tech one but I was wondering what other kinds of options I have, although moneys not tight I dont mind saving longer for something better in the long run I just dont want to spend needless money on it.

Ive seen the airtech one at burtons for £400, hear its just a copy of the radtech one but not sure if its good value for money.

Just checked the pro alloy website and 815 quid for the kit seems far to steep against the 400 for the airtech. Is it really that much better?

Looks a decent setup you got there mate and a nice project too! Looks like you got plenty of room up front. Did you move the engine back or are you using the standard xmember mounts?

hello mate, ave done a fair few cossie conversions, you can get away with a std 2wd intercooler and you can use a bigheader tank rad off a mk1 escort, it just fits! on me mates mk1 cossie he got 2wd intercooler and capri 2.oL rad it work ok, but you can go for the proper kit, but to save dosh thats one way, if you upgrade your power,,,,, YES go for big coolers its a must....

ive got the proalloy in mine with a small header tank and no heater, i sat in traffic at ford fair for around 1 hour and no probs at all and my eyes was glued to the temp gauge, down side is the intercooler is huge and 63 housing lag is terrible

im doing the same conversion at the moment and am interested on peoples views on the airtech for fitment to a mk2 escort, heard they can suffer from surge when mapping due to the cheaper core? still £400cheaper tho fair old amount!

Another alternative if you dont want to cut it up too much is one of a Focus St coupled with the original radiator and fans from a sierra cosworth!! Have a look at mine
