iv had a look through some mags from the last few months and seen some of chris work n it looks well, hes a busy guy tho cos he said he is dj,in sat night
well iv decided its about time to start working on the engine again, i need to take the sump off and try and reseal it cos its leaking at the back then i will tape up the loom and refit it, also need to pipe up the headertank that i mounted under the inner wing, i hope to make some progress over the next few weeks
yeah went well mate, other than having to be in a few pics, he showed me a few and it looks really well in them, i didnt appreciate how much went into the shoot to be honest and the gravel driveway didnt help with no front wheels,
give me a call whenever really but im in a meeting from 1:15 tomorrow till about 4/5, how soon do you want to do it?
any chance i can get a copy of the pics he did, seemed a bit better than mine,
Yeah there's a fair amount in a shoot, but Chris is very good. We can sort out a disc of the pics no problem, I'll drop you a PM tomorrow morning to sort out details for the interview and stuff
made a start on it again today, taken the sump back off and cleaned up all the sealer,
i didnt drill the extra 4 holes the cvh sump has so im going to get that done after i pick up some more sealer then rebuild it and hope it doesnt leak again
just finished fitting the sump back on, drilled and tapped the extra 4 bolt holes and sealed it all up, will be a while untill i can test it because the loom is back off,
cheers pal im glad i went for an estate, and it goes to show you dont need to plough 6k + into your engine to make decent power, theres alot more to come with it to
been sorting out the loom now but i am in need of a manual for the wiring diagram so i can fit a rev counter and some extra bits, doesnt help that i didnt take the loom out.
the previous owner cut loads of wires, and im going to mount a race battery in the back,
stand alone engine loom is in now just need to mount the edis and other bits inside the car
iv got my head around the wiring now, just need to sent a few new wires through to the bay for things like fan, fan switch, engine temp, and maybe a spare for the ms ecu just incase,
im getting rid of the reverse lights and it has no fog so its pretty simple to the rear
just made a big order for all my cables, Ł150 worth,
iv gone for 415 amp battery cable,
relay boxes
resister to slow the heater down
earth straps
extra fuse boxes
big 250amp fuse to make things safe running through the car
expensive but atleast i can get the wiring sorted properly and fit and forget
