Whole board snapped in half, or just a few tracks ?

Whole board repair would be difficult but doable, few tracks would be easy.
I wouldn't vouch for the repair's ability to withstand vibration in either case though.

The above applies to single or double surface boards, if the board is a multi-layer type, forget it, unless you are prepared to replace the broken tracks with soldered wires which would require a complete circuit diagram, and, would only work if the circuit isn't dependent on the layout (e.g. high speed data transfer applications).

That should be repairable with a thin piece of wire and some solder I would have thought

Only if the board is braced/glued with a plastic cross-peice. The solder joint on its own will not be reliable otherwise.

Then you should be ok, but solder is notorious for filling in gaps where you don't want it, and not jumping gaps where you want it to The wire resolves that issue.

I thought that the fibre-glass board had broken (snapped)....But if it's just a track that has cracked then a blob of solder over the crack will be OK (ish)......

But as Frog said, a link wire from one side of the break to the other side would be a much better repair.
