why? surely it is worth every penny, you get a tidy car with a cossie engine. if any less than Ł2k then you may aswell break it

You should break it really, its a shame but I cant see many people paying over 2K - and I have seen and commented on the work you have done, it is just not what I think most people would spend their money on. You would be better buying a fooked saff and transplating everything over. sorry my value is not close to yours. - good luck though.

unfortunately with log book snobbery and the cossie prices dropping that might be difficult, but e-bay may get a bite

good luck

Problem is mate other people (i.e potential buyers) won't appreciate that hard work and what the car is as much as you do

For the same money you could get a pretty tidy Saph i'm afraid

Kim's cossie is a good examply atm, lovely car, lovely colour, nice mods and only 3.5k!

Can't get much better than that for an honest cossie

Get it on ebay and see what interest you have

Parts or next to nothing! No ones gonna pay 3.5k-4k for it when you can get a saff for that! Nothing to do with Log book snobbery Its to do with fact

Keep it imo as you know it a good car

when you actually look at what the car is, i.e, a very good condition sierra with a 2 litre turbo charged engine, and say compare it to a saff cossie, which is just a sierra with a 2 litre turbocharged engine, then what's the big difference.
By log book snobbery i mean that the value is less because people want cossie on the log book.
on the face of things if you took both cars to a foreign land where cosworth has never been heard of, then the punter would choose his car rather than the snotty saff cossie for the same price. A cosworth is only worth more because it's a cosworth, not due to it's condition, i would say Ratty's car is better then ANY saff you could buy for Ł3k

But he wont be selling it in foreign land. I KNOW it is probably better than most saffs, thats why i said keep it..but it aint a cossie thats why its not worth as much. Nothing to do with log books...its the car. One is a sierra one is a cosworth.
A 3door with everything rs500 will never be worth what a 500 is worth, and that IS DEFFO the same car

They are what they are, log books dont come into it ...
