when you actually look at what the car is, i.e, a very good condition sierra with a 2 litre turbo charged engine, and say compare it to a saff cossie, which is just a sierra with a 2 litre turbocharged engine, then what's the big difference.
By log book snobbery i mean that the value is less because people want cossie on the log book.
on the face of things if you took both cars to a foreign land where cosworth has never been heard of, then the punter would choose his car rather than the snotty saff cossie for the same price. A cosworth is only worth more because it's a cosworth, not due to it's condition, i would say Ratty's car is better then ANY saff you could buy for £3k
