That gasket (If indeed it does leak) would just make her run a little rough at idle and cruise, not melt her down...
Its also very very rare you ever take a cossie head off and DONT find piston's damaged by valves mate..
Get her back on the road where she belongs, nice car as i recall

The port injection angle is much steeper than it may at first look due to teh spray pattern Dave, unless the photo isnt a good representation of your issue..
Also, all pots appear to be a very similar colour, a nice dark brown, suggesting fuelling was pretty uniform

looking down the injector hole the gasket was down nealy half way! maybe not such a problem with greens but on blues i think that what cause me to nip a ring on number two! Guess this is because this is where the oil runs down from the rocker cover cap and lubes
that part of the gasket up! Who knows just put a Cometic one on it you
