ive just used a scanner on my orion. it came up with a code said sumting bout cylinder identification open circuit. (cid) anyone no wot it means as i dont have manual with trouble codes in help will b greatly appreciated

 

Can you post the code number? CID is the camshaft sensor for identifiying when cylinder #1 is at TDC. Open circuit usually means a duff sensor, disconnected sensor or failed part of the circuitry in the ecu that is associated ith the sensor.

 

got it sorted last owner put new leads on wrong way when i put them rite confused ecu disconnected battery all ok almost
