Default Found out why my car lost all her power.....

I had about 4 nuts missing off my inlet manifold, and loads other were loose

Anyone know why this would happen, they were DEFO tightened up when we put the engine in AGGGGEEESSSS ago

Obviously not tightened up properly enuff then u donut

Possibility is the bracket that bolts the throttle body to the engine mount, if the bracket, or the bolt isnt there you will get more vibrations which COULD have loosend the nuts over time, spec the way u drive

turbo damper not set up properly ? ( if it 2wd ). just a guess

dont think they have any spring or shakeproof washers on as standard so they can vibrate loose. best stick a set of locknuts on it to be sure. have seen the studs removed & allen head bolts fitted. looks much neater too

Mrs Frog - dunno left the fella to sort it our pmsl

Tony - Wasn't me who did then tightening and what you mena the WAY I drive

b19bal - no aint snapped the studs

Niall - if they come loose again we were gonna change the bolts, it just a bit scarey that they came loose
