Default sleeper van?

just popped over from the UKFN

was speaking 2 rsdaz earlier,and we both agree that a good lil project for me would be a sleeper van

now the only 2 options i can see are...

* a mk4 running an rst lump
* a mk5 running rs2000 lump

now from a budget point of view which one do people recommmend?? i.e would it be easier to pick up a cheap (couple of hundered quid) rotten rst or rs2000???and has anyone done a conversion? if i remember correctly the fuel tanks/lines etc all need to be taken from a donor car?

any help would be much appreciated, as i think this would be such a hoot,blowing away so say fast motors in a van!

RS Turbo van would be cheaper I'd imagine. Loads of people have done the conversion (including me!). Basically swap everything over from a donor RST. With the fuel tank I just had to reroute the filler neck to the van position using a VERY thick fuel line. My van was originally a petrol one so not sure about a diesel tank.

Loom is straight swap etc...

i had a 1900 cvh in mine but it looked just like a clean mk4 van

had a bloke in a m3 get out at some traffic lights thought he wanted a fight but he pulled a wad of cash out and begged me to sell it to him
