Unfortunately data protection changes now means we can't obtain vehicle history from the DVLA even as a registered keeper within the UK. We used to be able to fill out a form and send it off with a Ł5 charge. We do have shops like eurocarparts who can do a vin lookup to get the reg, that can then be put into the DVLAs online MOT history checker. You need a UK friend and a friendly ECP employee or similar.

Is it standard? Might be worth posting pics up in case anyone recognises any none original changes to it.

That's what I thought. Someone may recognise it if it has any unique features or mods.

I don't think the dvla mot checker gives details as far back as 2000.....I would have thought a main dealer could use the vin to get the reg when first sold although they may only hold records for so long as well?

A lot of smaller dealerships kept their service records on cards/paper too so probaby no chance of searching old records.

PM me the VIN and I might be able to find the UK reg for you through hpi.
Cheers, DW.

Original UK reg was E608LNR, manufactured 1988. Randomly it says it was imported into the UK in 1991 and then exported from the UK in 1996 - and it also says it's original colour was white.
Hope this helps!

That's date of first registration in the U.K, confirming it (most likely) wasn't originally supplied new in the U.K
However DVLA records have been known to be wrong.

So it would appear to have been supplied new to some other Country.
It may have been in Jersey, Guensey, Isle on Man, Irish Republic or even Spain etc with an English owner who travelled back regularly.
It also could be someone who worked abroad and knew they were coming back to the U.K but then later returned abroad.

Seems like it may have some non standard history.

DVLA will know where it came from and went to, may be worth trying them to see if they'll tell you that and if it was in the same ownership.
