Unfortunately data protection changes now means we can't obtain vehicle history from the DVLA even as a registered keeper within the UK. We used to be able to fill out a form and send it off with a £5 charge. We do have shops like eurocarparts who can do a vin lookup to get the reg, that can then be put into the DVLAs online MOT history checker. You need a UK friend and a friendly ECP employee or similar.
