Have started to make my own 6 degree rear beam last week. Was almost finished with it when I put the rear traling arms on the beam. I wan to use two bushes and not a uniball/rosejoint on the inner one, My problem is that the bushes arent aligned so i get a twisting in the bushes during suspension travel. Fail! Just have to redo the mountingpoints. My plan is to angle them the same as the outer bush.


This is how I have done it, just extended the inner pivot further to the front with a "straight" fit compared to the outer one.
This doesnt work since the bushes doesnt travel at the same angle,




But if I do like this on the picture below would that work? the inner pivot is moved forward and the bush sit at the same angle as the outer one? Or do i still get the twisting in the bushes since they are not aligned on a "line" (inner one is further to the front)





Dont want to use rosejoints on the rear end but GGMs oem style cosworth bushings. Or do u have to have rosejoint to make this work?

The two bushes have to be in the same lone, otherwise you get twisting in the bushes, but possibly also in the arms!

You can use the spherical bearings from GGR for the outer mounts, they can have a slight misalignment that is big enough. I also used them on my 6 degree beam and they work perfectly.

 

As I suspected, Have the GGR bushings/bearings. All four of them. Guess I'll have to test with my inner mounting angled as the outer one. If that doesnt work I might have to change the outer one aswell. Already have the jig made so just abit more work to it.

The outer one doesn't need to be changed. But why don't you use a rosejoint on the inner one? That one needs to be changed anyway and the rosejoint is much cheaper and gives adjustability for camber.

 

Well I wanted to use GGRs spherical berings both inside and outside I meant to change the anlge on the outer one aswell but I'll probably go with a inner rosejoint instead. Will be alot easier in the end and less headeache.

What size rosejoint did u use when u did your beam? M14? M16?

 

I used an M22 rose joint from McGill Motorsport. Maybe overkill, but better be safe than sorry. M14 or M16 really seems small to me.
