Check your coolant temp sensor this gives the same symptoms if out of range.

what plug gaps are you running? and are you just adjusting the c02 screw willy nilly or do you have it hooked up to a gas analyser whilst doing so because if not its pointless just playing with the screw

i have heard some poor things on here about some of the stuff from brands hatch performance but haveno experience of them myself so cannot comment, the screw should only beplayed with whilst using an analyser otherwise its as accurate as sticking your finger out of the window to gauge wind speed lol. my old cossie was doing similar thou i gapped the plugs to 0.6 that stopped any back firing , but it turned out to be my map sensor at faut causing the overfuelling, it was that bad the oil was being topped up with petrol!!

happy days mate i think my problem lies within the fuel tank i am running a bog standard 1.6 tank with a bosch 044 well i dont think the tank has a swirl pot so i put Ł25 of fuel in and it perks right up as with the fuel line off i was turning it over and there was NOT a continious flow so hopefully with the cossie tank fitted should sort it.. fingers crossed.
