Thats good enough for me then, I just need to find out the size I need now, its a blacktop, but a pattern sump so I need to check as the plug is a 17mm or 19mm head so it may differ from a standard plug

I drilled and tapped mine to fit the temp sender. The sender itself had a thread and a ring terminal, but I fitted a separate plug further down the cable, to make it easier to get on an off.
Think I was lucky though, as the car came with an unusual plug, think you'd be hard pushed to drill a std Ford one out...

Good luck with it!
