Default Bike carb cvh Ford Orion help

Hi all, I'm posting this thread hoping that some of you "been there done that" can help me out and give me a heads up on what's involved before I make a start.
I have Honda cbr 600 bike carbs recommend by Bogg bros who are also fabricating the manifold, stripping and re-jetting the carbs for me to put in my 1.4 cvh carb.

As far I know, I need to use the fuel pump from the bike that the carbs came off, throttle cable and choke cable (my Orion already has a manual choke if I'm able to use that one?). As for fitting them, I'm just gonna try to figure it out as I go. So I'm looking for as much info as possible on how I go about fitting them before I make a start and some pictures would be great. I'll update as I go. If I was to use a solder less nipple on the current throttle cable, would that work or do I need to fit a whole new cable?

Thanks in advance!

I have been running bike carbs now for a few years and had them on my previous CVH. If Bogg Brothers are making the manifold and fitting the carbs to it for you then you should just be fit to screw it on yourself. The timing may need adjusted via the distributor and if your using the vacuum advance this will need connected. As for the choke cable, yes the standar one should fit (if its long enough) and throttle cable should be fine although each type of carb connections slightly vary. Im just using a regular low pressure electric pump and a regulator but using the bike pump is fine as they have built in pressure cut off and are made for the carbs. You will have to play about with jetting and mixture to get them right but they will sound awesome! I just wouldnt be expecting to much power gain on a 14 CVH tho!

Well, I'd love something like a Zetec turbo in my orion but I don't have the knowledge or money to do the conversion myself, right now anyway haha, so I thought I'll make the most of what I've got now, however, if I come across a decent 1.6 cvh I could always swap it for my 1.4 and put the bike carbs on that for a bit extra but for now I'll just make do with my 1.4

Yeah, well Bogg brothers have my carbs at the minute so I'm looking to fit them soon as they've sent them back to me, so I'm trying to understand exactly what I need and how to fit them. Do you have any pictures of yours where I'll be able to get an idea of what goes where, like the pipes and choke etc..?

Would this fuel pump do the trick?

Thanks for the help!
