Hi,
Im currently in the process of building an 87 capri cosworth (yb engine) and im having some wiring and electrical issues. The problems are as follows:

-Both tail lights are flashing with the indicator on and are very dim
-None of the clocks are working rev counter, battery/fuel etc,
-Horn not working
-Front indicators have power but when i earth the earth the power goes
-There is a red wire with a white line along it sitting in the engine bay not connected, if anyone knows what this is it would deffinitely help!

rear sounds like a bad earth
do the dash lights work? could be voltage reg on back of clocks
red/white wire used to go to temperature sensor in pinto head

 

yeah ok cheers and im not sure if they are il check them today and il get back to ya and that red and white wire can i just do away with that then? cheers for the info

 

I got all the back lights working, still cant get the front indicators to work. Some of the dash lights are working, when I turn on the lights it all lights up. If anybody has any info about these issues let me know, its the last few bits i need to finish the car!

That's defo a bad earth connection or isn't connected up do you not have a manual on the car for the earth location points?

 

hi no i dont have a manual for it ive cleaned down a few earths that i no but i cant find the bad one cause i dont no were they all are
