Cool fiesta rs turbo running lumpy and coughing when cold!

as title, when i first start it, it runs very lumpy on idle and coughs a lot! after 5 minutes or so when warm it runs like a dream and drives perfect!

any ideas?

always start with the basics mate

spark plug

leads

coil

then sensors , actuators etc etc

parts were fitted years back, all genuine ford and brand new, car was laid up for a year in the garage (longest ive ever gone without starting it), so a year later when i went to start it the issue occurred! give it 5 minutes though and she runs perfect! car is bog standard engine wise.

Sounds like it could be the coolant temp sensor on the back of the inlet manifold.

that is brand spanking new a few years back from ford

even newly fitted and unused things go bad when fitted and not being used, never rule out anything especially on a FRST
