Default Torque wrench

Any recommendations of a torque wrench for occasional use. I don't want any cheap crap, my last draper one fell apart. I need to fit a set of arp's and main cap bolts on my zetec turbo.

get a halfords one or a tengtools.
i;e had a 0-40lb/ft halfords one for years for the sensitive jobs and still working well, had it recalibrated last year and nothing had to be done to it, so a freebie there.
i've got three teng tools ones ranging up to 350lb/ft and they have been invaluable and still intact after much use.
i did buy a sealey one 0-150ft/lb and it just doesn't feel as good, it hasn't broken or lost calibration, just feels cheaper.

Echo the above, the Halfords one is all you'll need. They are nice torque wrenches. Find someone with a trade card and they are cheap too.

you can get a teng one delivered for about £50 which is cheap, the halfords ones are similar in price.
i just don't think the cheaper ones like in screw fix actually take much care in calibration to exacting tolerances. If i'm wrong, i'm wrong, but you need to trust your tools and are worth the few extra pennies.

Halfords tools are very good, thats all I have now. Even better if you have a trade discount card.

I personally recommend using eBay to find one. Cheap enough, all accurate (being torque wrenches).
I bought a 1/2" Draper one for around £25 and it has occasional use, even in the garage I work in!

The best thing the card gets you is things like headlight bulbs, £8.50 retail or 95p Trade, the only thing is you never know what discount your going to get until you take it up to the till.

I think its only the proffesional range you get a decent discount on guys, however still definately worth getting if you can for the bits and bobs.
