Picked up my T2 loom and ecu the other day but wondered if anyone can tell me the wiring on the 8 way loom connector plug?



The blue wire goes to a single male spade near the crank, dizzy and TPS plug so assuming this could be used for the coolant temperature on the dash clocks,

The brown and green is just a short length to a male spade so this would be extended for oil pressure,

I'm assuming the other 6 would be permanent live, ignition live, fuel pump feed from relay, rev counter and ???

Also, there are 3 relay bases, one is fuel pump, one is fuel injection but any one know what the other is used for?
The grey, brown and red wires go to the loom connector plug show above but the blue wire doesn't seem to be connected to anything, i've done a continuity check to all the other multiplugs including the ecu plug but nothing!!

Is it some sort of diagnostic plug? it's close to the ecu plug and would be inside the car

The black wire goes to ecu plug pin no's 5 and 21, red to pin 7 and green to pin 20.

 

The last one is a jack plug for connection to mapping program. (comms port)

Now the other one this is going to be difficult because the t2 only has three outputs and they can bea number of things so I couldn't tell you what exactly is in that plug without pinning it out.

The three relays I imagine will be fuel pump, ignition relay and poss water injection but the last one could be a couple of things.

Do you know who built the loom or supplied the ecu? As you would be best to get a loom pin out and know what outputs the t2 is configured for

 

As far as i know, the loom was originally from Ahmed, then SCS modded it from Weber to pectel
It was mapped by your old man Jim, i bought it from Johnyjn off of here.
I could drop it off one day and give you a drink for pinning out and being sure, I can pin out no problems, but i'd prefer to be 100% of whats what!
I was going to speak to you / your dad about re mapping it to my engine in the future.

 

Do you have a face on shot of the first plug? It looks the the other end of a plug i have on my pi systems dash as the dash loom was wired to run with a t2 ecu

 

I can take a pic, but they are just straight male spade connectors!

 

The ones on my dash loom are female bullet connectors so more than likely not the same plug. Have you traced them back to where they go as i could let you know what they do from my t2 loom

 

The blue wire goes to a male spade near the throttle body connectors,
the grey wire goes to the third relay base
the brown wire goes to the third relay base
the reddy pink wire goes to two of the relay bases and pin 2 on the coil pack plug
the green and the yellow go to the same relay base
the brown / green is a short length to a male spade
the orange goes to one of the relays ( i would say fuel pump feed )

 

In which case I beleive the outputs will be tacho, fans and fuel pump, one of those could have been changed for boost control though I'm not 100%
But yes I know the ecu as we last mapped it for john at brunters
I can't comment on the other bits as I'm not a trader

Hi Gadget , the 3rd relay holder is for cars with aircon , as for the 8 way plug 2 wires are not used ( Brown and Grey )

The brown with a green Line is rev counter there sound be a female spade connector near the end to join that .

The 8way plug
The light green and orange wires are 12v live ( Need to be fused )
Yellow fuel pump output, live to pump
The light blue single wire is water temp

I have a diagram at home but i'm in europe at the moment

Been down to Harveys today and he gave me a Pectel T2 diagram / manual.
Him and Jim were very helpful and had all the time in the world to chat. Also told me that the injectors i got from you should be fine to use on my car too - Happy days!!!
