Angry dishonest sellers on ebay! this is a joke! pics inside!

i bought a scuttle panel for my golf vr6 as my seal on mine has perished! and its very faded! so i spotted this one on ebay and they do go for good money, i paid £61 in total ! here is the sellers description -

Hi and welcome, here i have a mk3 vw golf windscreen scuttle tray, these often crack and break with age however this one is not, only a few minor scratches and the rubber seal is in almost new condition, these are becoming hard to find now, if you have any questions please ask, please check out my other listings for vw spares

other day i bought some lights for £70, turned up broke i sent them back and seller denies recieving them back! paypal decided the case in the sellers favour even though i sent them pics etc........

cracked

Ebay is ok but you do have to play safe. I always require registerd delivery when I can. I am always prepared to be took for a mug, sorry but it is the nature of the site. I have just had some one buy an item from my site, he used paypale, but my add clearly said to collect and pay cash. I am now getting short changed thanks to haveing to pay Pay pale charges. Still he will get his item when I get the cash in my hand. Sorry to say, I will not be going to the bank for about another week. Have fun Cheers Pete

Never used the site and never will

If I'm buying something I want to see it in hand before I hand over any money. And if the item is too far away I will just look closer to find one

You signed up to use their service, so abide by their rules. The rules say that sellers HAVE to accept Paypal payments. If you don't like it, you are free to sell your stuff elsewhere.

You should price your stuff to allow for the costs of doing business.

Bit more to it than that. It say you have to offer paypale. But you do not have to take it if you do not want to. as long as you say so in the add and I did. I had already knocked money off to alow for people to collect as this guy still has to at my, expence
I have been with paypale for many years and this is the first time this has happened. Most people read the add and then buy and not get someone else to buy for them for this sort of thing to happen.
Pete.

Regardless of what you write in the add, the rules require you to take paypal. Simple as that.

Therefore it is you in the wrong.

PayPale is great but like you say, But if you want to be safe you do need to take some sort of signature and even when some one sends their own messenger to pick up the item and deliver to them; you still need to get the collecting firm to sign for it nomatter what firm it is.
The whole system is wide open to abuse, but thank god most of us are streight and only to happy to get or sale our Items. Cheers Pete

You was robbed Rob, I got a pair of immaculate ones down Pick-A-Part in Erith for £6 the pair. Even the rubber seals were immaculate. Little bit of GTechniq C4 and they were like new will stay that way for a very long time.

I had some slag buy a fish tank off me, it was described perfectly with any damage etc. She collected it and was chuffed to bits. Only then I got a negative feedback as it was a 'bit tatty'. It is a 10 year old fish tank for fucks sake, silly cunt.

Needless to say I have saved her as a favourite seller so next time she lists something if it's cheap I'll bid and win it just to return the favour, stupid whore.

I'm not bitter, honest

Funnily enough the exact same happened to me with my tank.

I know that .. so he should not have payed by pay pal. I have met the guy now he has his goods and I have my cash. in the bank any way. He knew the rules and appologised for his wife who brought the good on his behalf, he knew he was at fault but had not told his wife not to pay, even said if I refused the paypale payment he would pay me again on collection. I think you need to re-read the rule on pay pale. or dont ever buy of me. cheers, Pete

There is alot of this going on, I have had people tell me how they have done it. I do not often post items and when I do I always do it with insurance and registerd. I like people to collect and pay me cash and even when they collect, if any of them were ever not happy with the item, I would not hold them to it. I am a fare play type of guy, as I also would not pay for somthing on collection if it was not as discribed.
Cheers and happy dealing on ebay its a great site what would we all do without it. Cheers pete

Up until I was 13 back in 1960, I used to skip school to go out on my motor bikes over the local fields... and there were lots of fields back then. I always skipped english classes, never maths or geometery or phisics, so up until I started to teach myself to read, I used to spell my name Petter. Beat that.
Mind you I only tought myself to read not spell, but once I started to read on pc, being used to seeing words in type print I soon saw how bad my spelling is/was. Cheers, Petter out
