Default ZETEC BOOST DROP - help please

could any body help with this problem... my car ran 32 psi it needed mapping so i drove it as it was at 32 psi it was a animal!!Today i changed intercooler to a airtech one and fitted the fans on the outside of it ..had a pipe made and fitted that .. now my problem is this.
i turned the boost down to 15psi.. drove it around it was fine and perfect.. i changed the intercooler and pipes and now it boosts to 15psi like the normal BUT it drops back down and holds 10psi .. so i checked pipes they LOOK fine..so i adjusted the boost up to 18psi ... now its hitting the normal 18 BUT dropping down again to 10psi when boosting hard.. im guessing its loosing air somewhere just cant see or tell where .. can it be the bleed valve ? any help appreciated

actuator? have you a spare one, -31 pref -34 if running the higher boost bypass the bleed valve and run the hose from actuator to turbo, to eliminate the bleed valve.

What clamps are you using for the boost hoses?

A pressure test will show you any leaks.

either a boost leak or a buggered turbo, 32psi is a lot of boost on an engine that needs mapping.
hows the actuator, may be the spring is worn out and can't hold much.

pressurise the system and then wipe some diluted fairy liquid on boost pipes. And all joints etc. it will bubble where the leak is. Last tester kit I made was 3" bung with valve in the middle , tyre pump or compressor to pressure the system.

cheers for comments guys.. the mechanice has said the diaphram thing in the actuater must have split etc.. basically have ordered a new forge actuater... and pee vee .. the fans be on mate its wired up to a switch etc so not blocking air .. its a better set up than my old one because the car runs alot cooler tbh

Thing is, if the diaphram has split in the actuator, it usually makes them boost as much as the turbo can. As the air pressure that's supposed to be opening the actuator to control the boost.. Is all leaking it of the hole.

Weak spring could be to blame.

peevee .. im not sure mate but it aint the intercooler, aint the bleed valve, aint the pipes so im hoping its definately the actuater as thats what the mechanic also thinks.. xr2wishy .. time will tell mate.. its a forge actuater with the alen key head on it. so will see if its that when its replaced.. cheers for comments guys

It will be actuator though, more than likely, had it myself with a Collins actuator.
New spring sorted that
