i am looking for a good set of tyres for track and road,i don't want anything to soft that where out on the first track day,but want something with good grip and the best bit is i don't want to pay arm and a leg lol

i would be willing to pay about £600

i am looking for 225 40 18 tyres for a 2wd escort cos

I recently bought a set of yokohama ad08's in the same size as you've mentioned for around the £650 mark....full tread depth tyres that are a compormise between semi slicks and road tyres, not used them on track yet but all good so far and haven't heard any bad reports

 

Not sure if available in that size but I have re070 Bridgestone on my impreza and find them really good in both dry and wet, and they do hold up on track so I have been told. But if I was doing track days myself I would use r888 toyos

 

I'm going to run the ad08's aswell but un 205/45/16's hoping there as good as there ment to be
