My boost gauge from racetec is reading -0.5 bar and when I rev it when the car is hot goes to 0 bar
I've checked the turbo
Replace the oil feed
New -31 Garrett actuator
checked intercooler for cracks and replaced the hoses too
Checked intercooler pipes for leaks all good
What am I missing or is this normal

you do realise you have to drive the car to get it to read the set boost?
-0.5 at stationairy is perfectly normal, and yes 0 bar when revving is also normal.
When going out and driving the car you WILL see the boost rising..

i'm pretty sure you will be running some high boost , so please don't go all out.
See what boost it reaches , if higher than 0.55 bar ( assuming it is standard ! ) then make the rod of the actuator longer until you have your boost right.
I've put my original rs turbo actuator back on as i'm running 0.6 bar and its a pain in the ass to get 0.6 bar with a -31 actuator it will always end up with 0.7 bar.
Just so you know

Yes as you have absolute pressure, with the throttle closed you have vacuum (hence the -reading) only under load will you achieve positive pressure, aka boost.
As said you can't simply just adjust the boost, unless you plan on destroying your engine, you need to run the set amount of boost it's setup for.

i set mine at 12 ish psi but refrained from going all out for any length of time as i knew i would be getting the fuelling setup. you MUST get your fuelling setup when you raise the boost pressure. your tuner will advise what is a safe amount and should set the fuelling to match the desired boost level so that is a/f is at a safe level. lean at wot means melted pistons. best just stick to the 6-7psi until the day before your rolling road session and drive off boost to the tuner.
