Cheapest price:
£1540.60
FORD KA (69 BHP) 1299cc
Comprehensive cover, no NCB

£250 voluntary excess requested
Worked out to 1600 with monthly payments.

I have done another quote tonight same above details

Try adding a 2 or 3 "mature" (old farts) on to the policy as named drivers, this often brings it down considerably.

It is stupid thats what it is, now my escort van that I was going to use was 1700 comp its now at 2146 Its going to be a challenge to manage to insure it.
Thats one of the main reason why its taken me so long to do my licence is insurance has been un affordable, so me thinking now that im 25 it shouldnt be too bad, how wrong I am

Do you mind if i ask why you can't? I'm not doubting you but just curious as to why you can't put some wrinklies (by wrinklies i mean anyone over 40 like me lol) on the policy.

Bollocks to your father in law, it's not him who's got to find the cash. Put someone else on then, parents, uncle, aunt, it doesn't even have to be a family member it could be a friend or work colleague.
Good luck with trying to get a cheaper quote though.
