If you're STAT SYNC is not changing to 'ON' under cranking - it won't run!

Are you seeing a viable RPM when cranking?

check that the ecu is getting a good voltage! this ecu is really fussy about its power supply if its under a certain voltage they dont want to know. sound like its the problem as you have touched the alternator. had the same problem with mine and it was the power cable was the wrong thickness loosing power when i relocated my battery to the boot. not sure what the minimum voltage should be as im not up with electrics sorry

running a ap flywheel with trigger wheel on front pulley ecu has a good base map in , got car running eventually after a tow start cant understand why it wouldnt start on key as was cranking at approx 250rpm? im sure ive got a power drain some where as it seems to eat batterys not sure wether its me dodgy alterantor wiring or what

- did go racing in the end (first race the timing pin bolt in block fell out an pissed oil all over the exhasut)- looked like it was on fire -gave the marshalls some excercise! any advice on possiable power drain problems appreciated.. thanks again mike.

whats the best way to check alternator is charging? seems to as puts 14 volts back into battery when running and battery voltage is about 12.5 when stationary.

Put a volt meter across the battery to check it but those values are ok.

How much current is being drawn when the car is sat idle without being switched on? Have you checked parasitic drain yet?
