hi everyone, i'm after a bit of help regarding a fiesta rs 1800.
i got this car a few weeks back with a knackered engine,it ran but was knocking.
i sourced one off good old ebay which the seller assured me was 100%.
i fitted this engine with all manifolds sensors etc off the knackered engine, started it up and it was running rough like on 3 cylinders and fuel was seeping out of the exhaust manifold on no 1.
today i took no 1 plug out disconnected the coil, crancked it over and quite a bit of fuel shot out of the plug hole.
any ideas what the problem could be?? or what i should check. a faulty injector or bent valve maybe? i'm hoping it's something simple as i don't fancy taking it all out again.

 

Check u havnt got the plug for number one and the plug for the icv mixed up. My mate did this with similar results.

got a manual and turns out i put the injector wire plug on the icv and vice versa
swapped them and everything is ok except the temp gauge don't work but will check that tomorrow.
glad it was something simple as now i'm gonna get some tax and get it on the road
