Default New to this detailing lark - Now with pics!!

I just bought my first clay bar kit after seeing how much crap was still left on my car after washing it this morning. Going to wash it properly next week (wash, clay, polish and then auto glym aqua wax) .....any tips gratefully received!

As said above when you clay you can’t use too much lube and don't worry about running out. If you do just mix up a water and car wash solution and use that as lube ! If the clay bar is 100g I would cut it in half, a 50g piece will be big enough and if you drop it on the floor you'll still have the other half ! While your claying constantly check the surface of the clay and as soon as it isn't clean fold and re-work it to get a clean surface, if the clay gets a bit stiff then drop it in a mug of hot water for a few minutes which will soften it and make it easy to fold and re-shape. Once you’ve clayed the car give it a good rinse off and then start your polishing, good luck and get those pics up when you’ve finished

Cheers folks - will post here with pics when is done (prob the Monday after next weekend). Paintwork won't be great by any means but will be better - car is a year old and I am trying to undo all the neglect it has had from it's first owner (only had it a month and a half). Looks good at first glance but all the niggles are annoying me !

The way i do it is wash the car then dry it off. Then i put a bit of water in a clean bucket and put a bit of my clay bar in.I have a drinks bottle with a pull up top and fill it with water and sprinkle it on one panel of the car at a time.I clay bar the panel then dry it.Then i move onto the next panel and so on.

Then i use AG polish then the AG HD wax.
