The car is a 1989 g reg 90 spec. Its had 3 previous owners, Dave has owned it 5 and it has covered 46k from new (400 miles in the last 2 years!)

Body

The body work is totally standard and the arches have not been trimmed or cut. It has been wax oiled underneath from an early age and it shows.
The car has never been welded or crashed but has seen paint on a few bits ( only to freshen up )
To stiffen up the shell after the coilovers were fitted, it has a adrenallin rear strutbrace which as been proffesionally painted black and the boot trimmed to make it look oe.


Interior

Original interior half retrimmed in top quality black leather with all metal work powdercoated black. (not a tennis cabriolet interior)

gaz coilover shocks brand new & unused
powder coated rear arms and trailing rods with poly bushes
full S1 anti rollbar setup all powder coated and poly bushed with rose joints on the tie rods ( powder coated black and white )

Cosworth conversion on the front done with new callipers
focus rear disc conversion done with all new parts

Bit sad that the original got removed, but thems the rules I suppose... the car is absolutely amazing and near on the perfect Series 2 RS Turbo.

How much would a standard 90-spec go for in that condition with 46k miles on it?? ...exactly, think of it that way and this seems like a complete bargain with all the money and mods on it IMO.

The enigne, turbo, management and mapping alone was alot more than the price of the car!!
This is a very nice, well specced car. If i had the money, i would snap it up.

The engine was mapped when in cliffs car but needs the apexi boost controller which is fitted setting up along with the tps sensor at msd. All the bits are the same apart from the boost controller which he sold before I could raise funds to buy it.

I had a 2.1ZVH freshly built, cossie management, t34, mega spec, custom leather throughout

Had to break mine and got around 7k in total..

 

Stunning car, worth every penny. Looks nice on Rondells but then I would say that.

Good luck with the sale not that you will need it!

 

I would rather sell it with the gauges as I would have to get hold of bungs for all the sensor holes. If it does not sell though I might consider doing it
