It's just the boot lid that is wrong, is it not? :S
Transmission tunnel is there, as are Cossie front suspension tops, inner wins, etc. so I would assume that it is a genuine Escos shell ... that is unless someone has stuck a sierra floor pan in a mk6 Escort shell.

It couls be an aftermarket spoiler that does it ! the easy way to check is to ask / or do youreslf measeurethe chasis width as the Cosi onws a wider than the other excorts... and I am sure there will be someone that can post exactly what the measurements should be on this board

Nope yet again duff info, one car is a MK6 and the other is a Escos, the Escos was based on a shortened Sierra platform, (That probably explains the width difference as well?) with a MK5 Escort shell grafted to it even then it's totally different, there are only 3 panels that are the same on lesser Escorts IIRC,
Honestly people really need to get there descriptions correct, it just makes the seller to look a fool when people in the know see this sort of stuff.

If you look at the boot towards the rear wings on the auralis blue one there the same as an escos where the wings are higher than the tailgate . Also has a tunnel , escos breaking pump/ cylinder , .But your right about it having MK6 lights .

The lights are from a MK6, I didn't think you could mount these on a MK5 as said? Actually I have had a better look now and it does "Tick all the boxes" in which case I will eat my words but it just doesn't look like the genuine item to me?

the light car isnt a mk6, it has a mk5 filler cap etc
its just been gay'd up but someone with a mk6 rear end, possibly the reason it was (was it really?!) a catb with a destruction notice
could have been ding's up, hidden with mods etc
but the shell is mk5 originally

Has nobody noticed the auralis one has a Cosworth engine bay/front end/floor? A normal MK5/6 bay has completly different strut tops and the front end is different too. Looks like it just has a mk6 tailgate on it for some reason? Possibly they got one cheap off an auralis RS 2000 along with its bumper?
I don't think it's that easy to do though? I presume you need Mk6 wings for Mk6 lights? Escos rear wings are longer than usual this was to make mounting to the chassis easier. Another thing is the rear windows look different as well, I.E they don't have the three bezels on them?

I think the mk5 and the wing mounted part of the mk6 light are the same shape. Its the bootlid cutouts that pose the problem if your are using the wrong light on the wrong car.
You think thats cheap
I dont see the point in trying to rebuild one car from that load of scrap if you look at what you can pick a decent escoss up for these days
and with 2 scrap shells there is defo no money in breaking them
Btw
that blue one is an escoss shell just with mk6 tailgate and back lights fitted
