The guy MOTing it said the subframe was so bad that if you went over a particular local hump back bridge at speed the body would leave the rest of the car. I knew from personal experience that he was lying because i often used to "take off" over the bridge in question.
The next car that i owned on my own was a Renault 5TS (ARP 260S) which i then sold to my dad when i bought my first Ford, a Mk3 XR3i (OTU 230Y) in 1988, that got nicked in 1993. Have had a Ford ever since.
