Default Ported and polished 1.8 blacktop zetec head

Is this worth doin to improve gains with mods iv got? any worthwhile gains and rough costs of gettin this done.

Iv got full exhaust/induction mods, plus iv got kent cams/pullies. Car is a 1.8 focus blacktop.

not massive gains as the valves are smaller than 2.0l

If you're talking about the blacktop zetec 1.8 2.0 valves are exactly the same size 28/32.Only the chaber geometry is different . So If you put a 1.8 head to a 2.0 bottom it'll result in a 11:1 comrpession ratio.

Them comp ratios are too high for standards pistons and rods.

Not true Not true at all.... the zetec engine 1.8/2.0 internals are quite strong. No problem coping with the increased compression when you change your 2.0 head with 1.8. SO if you're running a 2.0 zetec in focus with full exhaust ,head ported (1.8 to benefit from the high compression) and the cams and pulleys it WILL be a nice and quite powerful daily driver. N/A ALL THE WAY mate!!!!!!!!! No regrets at all! I don't know what are the gains from the increased compression ONLY but I'm sure it'll be around 10hp.
