is the indicator relay inside the gem box? as i trying to build a loom. cheers

Yes no flasher unit, it's controlled by the GEM.

so i will have to wire in a relay to get them to start flashing, as i have power to the stalk then on to bulb at moment?

Yes on older cars there was a flasher unit and on later cars a "Special" relay the power went via this and make the bulb flash, with your current setup the bulb will not flash.

However on modern cars and on these in particular the indicators are controlled by the GEM so am not sure why you are wanting to change that?

making my own loom as car has been stripped and painted, just keeping it light and simple, i will buy a flasher unit.
