Default GOTECH

Hi is anyone using Gotech engine management on theyre RS?Ive been told by my mechanic that i should be looking into efi mappable engine management and i have heard that Jamsport have had good results from this system.
The spec of my car is.
k&N induction kit
Mongoose exhaust
piper 285T2 cam,pully
full frontal airtec intercooler
Collins chip
Turbo technics stage 3 t3
Currently running 17-18psi of boost, would i benefit from Gotech now or should i get my zvh conversion done first which i plan on getting done in future.Any advice would behelpful cheers.

EFI gains include, power, response, economy, and reliablilty so yes go EFI first!
IMO ZVH is a waste of time, either run a good CVH or go Zetec turbo, ZVH has all the bad points of a CVH engine, none of the good points of a Zetec, and requires big money spending on headwork, manifolds, and a big turbo to get a nice power band!
Almost any standalone management will be fine including Gotech, speak to whoever you will have map it and see what they recommend for best results

it hs it's good points but if you put it up against a megasquirt as they are about the same all fitted and mapped the megasquirt blows it out the water i consider slow-tech a more track management where you are mostly at wot and there it copes well

What makes megasquirt better than gotech? i thought a management was much more about the tuner mapping ability rather than just a standalone management system?

no if it was just that then dta and a few others would be a bit cheaper it's also about it's speed at which it works and the way in which it does it like megasquirt can interpalate(spelling) between load sights, where as you have to input every parameter into gotech and the amount of features each has or can preform to aid in the smooth operation if you get a chance to use the software for both you'll see what i mean

Dont forget the additional features which you get with ms:#
idle control
nos control
boost control
launch control
antilag
etc etc

these are all standard on ms but im pretty sure only the top end gotech will accomodate these.

If you are going to use the gotech ecu which obtains the cp from the dizzy then im pretty sure this wont have idle control. I bought this for my car but then sold it before fitting as quite a few people had informed me problems with starting and the engine hunting once warm, would imagine this to be pretty anoying on a road car but for a track car it probably would'nt matter.

I'm going to be using V4 soon, as far as budget ecu's go it would appear to be in a league of its own, it won't be long until more people have switched over to it and I'm sure it will then be more accepted by people.

Only seen one car on Gotech which was done by someone we all know and it was removed in favour of Pectel T2 iirc

I imagine that Go-tech can interpolate or the majority of cars running it would still be getting mapped now. It's probably just the Go-techs resolution when interpolating between sites is worse than Megasquirt's.
