gotech nightmare please help
ive got my s2 running gotech mfi over the winter, at the weekend it was all running fine although the map was a bit ropey so i got it towed up to work and onto our rolling road, i welded a lambda bung into the exhaust and setup an afr gauge, then plugged in the laptop and fired up the ecu, it came up with the map and all looked ok until i tried to start it and nothing happens...
theres no spark and it seems all i have done is plug in the laptop, it apparently has a base map for a 1600cvh with my injectors and the only thing i can gather from the gotech manual is to be careful not to get the direct/external fire mixed up (i am running direct and have made no adjustments since it was running) i have put a multimeter from the gotech coil wire so its not my coil thats the problem, its as if the map has just been wiped
any help would be great its doing my head in now
cheers
joe

If you are not happy with their map why have you not rang Jamie or Mark (Jamsport) and told them?
Surely they are your best port of call?
Regards.

How has he tried to name and shame anybody???!!! Sounds as though he's fitted the system himself, wants have a go at doing some mapping and is after some advice....what's wrong with that?? A base map is never going to have the car running perfect, doesn't sound like jamsport has had the car in for mapping so no fault of theirs, although i agree it would be easier to get the car to them as they've mapped loads on gotech!
