Default Silicone Sealant Nightmare!!

Need some advice/help.

Had some new rear arches put on the S1 and the bloke who did it reccomended that after putting the kit back on it should be sealed to keep the water out............

So like a fool I say "Ok then if you think that would be best"

Anyway I get the car back and it looks absolutely awful, Ive taken the kit back off and am finding it an absolute nightmare trying to get this sealant off the bodywork.

Does anyone have any hints or tips to help me get it off? ie would using a hairdrier to soften it help etc etc.

Someone please help me as i think im going to weep!!

Cheers,

Mark

if it is silcone you can get some remover for it from most builder / DIY places.
It just melts it and turnes it back to silcone so you can wipe it off

Duncoss, Cheers mate, Hopefully it will be as simple as that then as its taking forever trying to get it off.

Didnt realise there was a special remover i can buy, so i think maybe i will stop wasting my time this evening trying to rub it off and wait until morning!!

Cheers,

Mark
