Default Zetec Turbo...What Turbo??

Currently building a Zetec Turbo for the Escort RST.

Looking for around the 300hp mark and not sure what turbo to use? Spec of the rest of engine is steel bottom end, std head (uprated valve springs), EFI inlet, running omex or similar and tubular exhaust manifold.

What turbo would be a good choice?

the gt28 is a great turbo , but you need to know what power you want and spec it from that.

a gt2860 is what i would go for if you only want 300hp and a fast spool! or on the cheap a t34.48 wont be far off it on spool

Will be getting a custom one made so the Turbo sits over the gearbox
