Default disconnecting fuel pipe, special tool?

I'm looking to remove the engine from my car. The workshop manual says you disconnect the fuel pipe with a special tool 23-027. (looks like a handle with two prongs in)

I obviously haven't got this, and there don't seem to be any for sale. Cn you advise me how you disconnect your fuel pipes please? I want to re connect them again so I don't want to cause any damage.

Cheers

Steve

Hi mate, to be honest there is no point trying to disconnect this pipe. Just unbolt the fuel rail and lay it out the way. Saves you having to disconnect then. You'll find after its unbolted you can just flap it back over the wing.

easy to do, just use a jubilee clip, cut the screw part off the clip, so you just have the round part, then just push it up towards the connector, then pull apart
cheers shaun

I borrowed the correct tool from work, and also found a company called SPX that sells Ford workshop tools. I ordered one for future use for around £20.

Thanks for your help.
