Default Cold running problem

Have you checked (Cleaned and lubed) the ISCV as it may be this is stuck especially if it's been stood still. Have you replaced fuel filter? If you open throttle a bit when starting from cold does it run ok?

So it's a mixture problem, what CO is it running is it chipped, what fuel pressure is it, all this needs checking, sounds just a little lean on cold running.
If the fuel filter is more than 2 years old replace it, bacteria grows well in it.
As the car sounds new to you ?, make sure the fuel pump and fan loom rewire have been done, for safety reasons.

Hi I have done a fan loom rewire but am going to do a fuel pump rewire loom and also replace the pump, is it a good idea to upgrade to an 044 pump, also its chipped to stage 3 but I think I shall change the spark plugs then when the bodywork is done get it booked in for a check up.
Cheers jason

The 044 is only marginally better in flow terms than the 941 std pump, at stage 3 a std 941 is more than capable.
Get your filter and pump rewire done before getting it checked over, make sure you use new copper washers on the banjo's for pump/filter, about 50p each from ford.
