Default (Pic request )Deep dish wheels

I am considering dumping the 18's in favour of 16" deep dish rims and mega low suspension! not sure if its the right thing to do! anybody got some pics of a series 2 with wide 15's or 16's on it?

i'd say go for it
imo 18s don't look right on a s2, make it look like its on stilts, but saying that yours is one of the lowest i've seen on 18s and not being harsh but your wheels are out of date so a fresh look is a good idea.
16s on the deck would look cool especially deep dish, but you'll have to avoid speed bumps
put a post up in the photoshop section if you don't get any luck here

I'd definately do it, having had a Mk4 escort on 18's i'd go for the 16's plus the drop in suspension for handling purposes over anything else really!

Your car does look nice but S2 should be about power, handling & stopping etc, especially when you've got a wicked zvh or zetec engine

if you can get your hands on them you want the speedlines mistrals 3 piece split rims like i have. 16 x 8'. they would look proper mean.

ring speedline and chat to anyone there and they will tell you about them.

Thing with deep dish is they make the wheels look even smaller thanthey are, so going from 18s to 16" dd's will make them seem like 14's to you after looking at huuuge rims for so long.
Perhaps paint your 18s for a fresher look as opposed to going the new wheels route??

Same thing really...taken straight from the mot guide:

"The tyres are examined to ensure that there is no fouling with any part of the vehicle".

If they stick out, then under heavy suspension load, the arch could bite into the tyre & cause a blow-out (in it's severest form). Bit dangerous. Also over time, it the arch keeps rubbing on the tyre in general, then it will cause a groove in the tyre on the top edge, and could lead to the same result: blow-out.
