Default Had an accident in my car

Luckily not the RS though but still,

Think that its a write off, kinks in roof and the whole chasis is basically bent

Couple of pics attached

And the cuplrit:

The oil/deisel on the road, apparantly when police were rung they were already at a more serious accident further up the road because of the same thing!!! 2 of my wheels hit this and i had no chance, think that the car spun about 3 times at least!!!

Yeah mate, except for a massive smack on the head and most prob a black eye tomorrow im ok. Went to the hospital just to be sure though.

Hit the wall a couple of times i think, then there are a couple of massive kerbs that will have done some damage!!

Back axel is broken and boot is well out of line apparantly!!!

Was very nearly on its roof though im sure, if you look in the pic just above the one of the oil, im sure that i went down that grass sideways and I thought that the car was going to go over, then i went off at the end of the kerb and it spun again a couple of times.

Was going at about 45mph, not mega fast, its a 50 zone.

Not to sure on the insurance mate, thats what we would like to know. I have taken that bend faster than that loads of times in that car, the clio can well easy handle 45mph!!!

glad your ok mate. hope everything goes ok on the insurance front. although i do think it will be a claim as although its not your fault you cant claim off of anyone else so it must come out of your insurance.

Cheers mate. That is exactly what my mum said about the insurance, no one else involved so no one else to claim from, unless we find out who has spilt oil/diesel on the road for about 3 mile!!!! As ive said, apparantly there was a lot more serious accident further up the road and they had to close the road off, so you never know, the police might look into it, but I dont know what they would find and im not counting on it at all!!!

i wouldnt really count on anything, theres no way that you could ever find out what car that oil came from. just hope it doesnt put the insurance up too high.

glad your ok though

Shit good job you wern't on a bike

its well shit if you have to claim, i'd fight it all the way. you've got evidence to prove that there was oil on the road, why should you pay

put a post up, there must be peeps on here that work for insurance companies that will know either way

Dont think that they had time to put them up, think that they were too busy at the more serious accident which was about 2 or 3 mile away, apparantly they had to close the road off for that one, think that this was caused by the same thing. Police are coming this morning to take a statement, so if I remember, I will ask and see if they know.

Danny C, good idea, will post up later on and ask, see if anyones got any ideas. Cheeers.

Glad you seem to be ok mate...and that no-one was walking down there when you spun off. Could have been a lot worse. Hope you sort out the insurance stuff to your advantage.

Well as much as I hate to say it I'm an insurance Engineer so looking
At damaged cars is what I do for a living. Well I can pretty much say
theirs a strong possability your Car is going to be deemed a total loss,
if the roof is creased from the accident damage then the only real
repair method from an insurance point of view would be to shell the car I'm afraid!

On the issue of claiming anything back from a third party! I’m afraid without
Evidence then theirs not much chance of holding anybody liable.

The main thing to remember is car's can be replaced lives can't!

Glad your ok mate, hope the info helps a little?
