Escos should have one with only 2 outlets, 1 outlet going to a T piece off to the comp housing & actuator & the other to atmosphere. Looks like this,

Is yours a Small Turbo or Lagre Turbo.

As it could be the same as mine if Big Turbo and been converted to Spah 4x4 Loom to adpat the Amal Valve from a Saph.

Dont know why you didnt ask me mate, Joe removed the Escort one as he sets it up with the saff one for Rejetting purposes i think...

Its his preferred way to do it.

A few other tuners do it that way too. No big deal.

I imagine Joe did that to youres too Glen.

Why would you want to remove it... It boosts strong and fine. Just needs nnew actuator so boost does not tail off.

Well, i had the saph Engine Loom already in place as it was Joe that found the Amal Valve Wire/Connection, so obviously when mine went in for the Rebuild and Stage 2, it was his natural asperation to tell me to get a saph Amal Valve for him to use this setup, and yeh he said better for rejetting purposes, but all that goes above my head, so as long as i get the results, i let Joe get on with it.

The P8 has closed loop boost term control and as such has targets to aim for when dealing with programmed in gear boost control for midrange spikes etc. This only works on the original 2 port valve. Dont remove it unless you are no longer running a P8 ECU.
