Just wondered if anyone has had one or has any experience of running one. Im looking at getting one as a daily driver and to do a few trips to france to follow the tour de france next year. Ive heard the 1.9td is not very powerful, however anyone know if you can remap these??

I have 2 of them and a vito
Tbh I hate driving them , they feel sluggish and noisy compared to the merc

Both are the 1.9 td 800 specials , they aren't common rail so don't think you can get tuning boxes for them . If I were you I would look for a 2.5 tdi as they seem much quieter and definately a lot quicker . Or you could allways consider a vito

 

I did 130K in 5 years in my old VW Transporter 19tdi 800 special, was a little sluggish but was a confortable drive.
