Default ERST Front hub problems

I am pretty sure my erst front hubs are worn. Front bearings was too easy to install. I try to explain. There was no need any power pressing tool to put outer pieces of bearing.. (shells?) to its place. There was too much tolerance.
Current front discs last under 500kilometers and are now warped and tyres are shaking too when driving normally. It does shaking with all sets i have test. Shaking was totally gone after new set of discs but returned after front discs were warped again.
What are my options?
New hubs cost over 130£ / each.
Anyone used second hand hubs? How i can be sure for second hand ones there is no worn in the bearing housing?

I did use search and read pretty much about this but actually no one was not written how to solve this problem?

edit:

I found patten front hubs 18£ each. Can i use non-ABS hubs in my rst which originally had ABS but not any more.
Drive shafts identical?

Cheers

Antti-Ville

The shells are pressed into the hub carrier, which is a basically a big lump of cast steel, into which the shock, anti roll bar and steering arm attach. There is no way on God's earth that its worn!!!In fact, how can there be wear where the shell's are taped in??There's no movement between the shell and the hub carrier.

The only problems I have in that general area is the hub itself breaking,or to be more exact, the spines on the hub breaking up.I've posted about this a few times on here over the years.

I am sure hubs are pretty strong stuff but there must be something wrong if brake discs wont last 500km until are totally warped. I took front brakes professionally serviced and every piece is new except hubs. Hub/disc surface was sanded to complete flat, it was shotblasted couple of mohts ago before that. All bushes, tca´s etc are new. I did read one topic here where was discussion about front hubs and similar problems and solution was set of new hubs. Problem was something related that bearing places in the hub were with too big tolerance and bearing was loose so it cause vibration in brakes too
shit my english is bad.

OK,well as you say you can get 2 pattern hubs for €36,I'd buy them, its not alot of money to spend really.Just make sure they have the correct number of splines,so youre outer CV joints fits into them.ABS,with or with out, makes no odds to the hubs,so no need for RST hubs only!!Regards,Micky

if the bore in the hub has a bit of ovality you might not realise it unless you measure it

Antti,
The hub carriers, or uprights, or whatever they are called, the big cast iron piece where you insert the bearing outer races, should be a tight fit to the bearings. These don't wear either so something is wrong. As these don't wear, second hand ones should be fine.
The hub itself is the rotating part. These can wear badly if a bearing is driven too far before replacing. This would affect the fit of the bearing inner race and overall tightness when the axle nut is fully tighhened.

Have you measured that the disc is really warped? It's a common myth that juddering brakes are always casued by warped discs. It can also be because the surface of the disc has uneven friction. This can be caused by glazing or burned pad material. This is a problem that I had with early greenstuff pads that kept "coating" the discs.

Overheating can cause glazing or burned pads as JesseT says.
Maybe upgrading the front brakes is in order? You are running big BHP after all!!
