Default Pistons and rods for Zetec Turbo

I'm now looking to buy my pistons and rods for the 2 litre Zetec Turbo build in the Orion . . . wanna aim for 300 bhp

https://passionford.com/forum/restor...he-making.html

Was gonna get them through AXIS in the USA. But its gonna be to much hassel as he wants the standard internals sending over to measure.

So now im looking to buy some from over here off the shelf or custom, or even off the shelf from the USA.

Budget is gonna be a grand tops . . . Anyone help me with contacts or suppliers

I spoke with a chap from PEC/WOSSNER pistons at ford fair and he gave me a list of prices for their items. I don't have it to hand but it was in the region of Ł860-890 for a piston and rod package which I though was brilliant. Think the CR was lowered to 8.0.1, can't be sure though. Hope this helps.

Some people may mock but for that budget and power figure i would try PEC (performance engine components) for some generic steel rods and wossner pistons think they do a package for around Ł900

Wouldn't mind breaking the 300bhp at some stage. . . just wanna play around with it at 1st and see what I get, but want the bottom end built once and once only
Want it ready for future power hikes

Any phone numbers for the above?

Cheers

I sold a set of steel rods to my mate. For his zetec turbo. And another client of mine is running a full set of forged pistons and steel rods in his rst. Both cars run perfectly

Why has nobody mentioned the obvious and most common choice of Eagle rods and JE pistons.

my mate is just buildin a zetec turbo an u get a really good deal if u go direct to wossner germany, think his pistons came to 375 an rods were bout 350, or u could just go down the calibra turbo route

Dont wanna go the calibra turbo route mate.

Wanna go over 300bhp at some stage so only wanna build it once. Will look into sourcing them from Germany though

Buying from one source will hopefully ensure that you have compatible length rods and pistons as there are 3 different dimensions (4 if you include the FRS).

Also I'm assuming your using the original block so it will be bored to suit the pistons ?

Anyone else heard or tried this? They've told me I have to buy from PEC unless I order custom which will cost just over 720quid.

That's just for pistons...
