044 and a re wire mate job done

 

mines stage 3 reyland had to put a 044 pump on and a re wire

 

A std pump is fine at stage 3 IF in good order, ie unlikely to be if 20+ years old.
There is next to no difference in flow rate between 044 and 941(std), the lockout pressure is higher on the 044 though@ 11.2 L/hr 18amps.
There is certainly nothing special component/contruction wise about bosch pumps to warrant silly money.

The Std pump will cope fine with stg 3 as long as the voltage is up, i ran mine on a std pump but was advised to rewire as the voltage was 11.5.
