Question Stage1 270bhp proceedure

Hi friends

I've got a saph 4x4 factory standard engine and turbo, samco air and water hoses, factory air box with K&N filter + 2 bar map sensor + mongoose exhaust + Koni sports suspension all round.

How do I go SAFELY for stage 1 (is it 270 bhp? ) ?

Is it possible to do it myself?

Thanks guys.

All you need for stage1 is a chip, and a -31 actuator for the turbo, very easy to set up with instructions provided.
I have never used a MSD stage 1 chip so can't comment, but have used GGR, about twice the price, all I can say is it was awsome, brings a shed load more torque, that's the first thing you notice, much much better, and what they should have been to start with imo.
You won't go wrong with either of the above though, or Karl at NMS, does the special high popwer chips, can't remember the name but very effective they are, Gunship, just remembered.

If your car has catalysts, you should remove the one in the downpipe and order a
closed loop chip.

Thanks for your replies guys..
What about my ECU... would I just plug in the stage 1 chip or would I need to solder?
Does my ECU has something called pectel board? I need some updating in this matter.

What about the cooling system? will it cope with the extra heat from the extra power?

Thanks again

If the cooling system is in good order it will cope no problem as it's 4wd, 2wd were pretty crap from the factory, but 4wd have much designed systems.
