Saff Cos 4x4 rev problem
Hi sometimes when i start up my car the revs will climb up without touchin the throttle ? It did hav a cam cover oil leak a bit ago, could this have went in a idle sensor or throttle sensor and made it dirty?? Also it idles perfect but when i stuck new plugs in they were kinda tight goin in and after that it splutters a bit on idle and takes a second or 2 longer to start(is correct plugs from Burton Power) but drives perfect. Any help would be much appreciated.

Idle speed is controlled by iscv, which is a sealed unit, so no oil got in there, I wouldn't worry to be honest.
Plugs should certainly not be tight going in, what plugs were they ?, cold starting and idling can be improved(a lot) by fitting iridium p[lugs such as AGPR12PP8 etc but depends on what spec as to which ones.
