Default fuel pump rewire (efi) help needed

ive just rewired my fuel pump on my estate and it all works fine but the trouble is now instead of the pump priming the system it pumps continuosly,anybody got any ideas please

mine does the same but doesnt seem to make any difference as once the car is started it runs continues anyway,as long as you dont leave youre keys in the ignition shouldnt cause you any problems.

yeh i suppose there is that but if i could get it sorted so that it works how it did before would make me a bit happier

when i did mine it ended up being 2 wires on the the new relay that need swapping over from each other, but im fukt if i can remember which ones

posisbly the 2 lives but unsure, alls i know is when i swapped them round the pump would just prime as normal ant stay on

what wires have you got going to each pin on the new relay

i may have a diagram somewhere on pc to find out

ive run a new live straight from the battery to terminal number 30 on the relay,number 87 ive run a new wire straight to the pump,number 85 ive run a new wire straight to an earth point then the original wires that went to number 86(there was 2 wires going into the plug on this terminal) ive connected those to my alarm wire then the return wire from the alarm are connected to number 86

does that all sound ok

hmm

thats what it sasy on my diagram aswell

i will double check the car for you tomorrow as i have to pull most of my boot build out to get to the relay lol, but i need to anyhow and cut a hole in it so i can easily get to it

ive also ran a new earth wire for the pump stright to the body aswell but i doubt that would make any difference would it

would it maybe be better to run the alarm wire on the pump wire instead or would that make it a bit pointless as the wire for the alarm is a bit thinner than the new wires ive put in
