Also get on the phone to them and do a little begging as that can help
They have a 24hr phone line which is in the UK.
The number is :- 0845 610 1234
Give it a go, and while you are at it ask for an overdraft as they are free

its totally wank that they let you do it if thiers no money in thier or enough to cover it it shouldnt happen i hate the way when you ask for a balance they always give it you with credit they give you without asking like an extra 50 i always tell them without the credit bank robbers man
ring them and say i want a loan for £10k and can they send you some information about the different loan services they provide. Then say, by the way, any chance you can let me off that overdraft fee?

i had a similar problem last month when i had an unexpected direct debit. 22 quid direct debit cost me 28pounds for bouncing it then another 28 pounds because the bank charge made me overdrawn so got and overdrawn charge
mine charged me £38 for a direct debit, i always put the cash in but spose i got it wrong over a weekend or somin, then the fookers took the £38 instantly out of the money i deposited so the dd was re entered and it made me miss that one too !!!
£76
needless to say i called em and shouted a tad, i got it reduced to the original £38 nprob cause i was a twat and admitted the first one was my fault

you'll get off with it if you call up aks apologise etc etc as its the first time.
natwest are fucking useless cunts though, im with em and the fucking about ive had with em is a joke.
ive got a 500 quid overdraft, i had a letter through ages ago saying it was beeing upped to £1000, so i never bothered putting cash in to cover my dirrect debits that month as i had this extra cushion. turns out for some unknown reason they wont tell me they changed their minds and didnt let me know, so i went over my exsisting limit, causing me to get charged, my DD be refused and putting a black mark on my credit score. theyve fucked up a few times and im ready to change banks. theyre shit.

Lloyds are better, can repay od amounts by 4pm on the same day you went od and there is no charge. great for the un employed or people who can get to a branch but to working man its pants. open branches till 6pm. Doctors have realised they need to fit working hours as they are in reality a business but banks dont want to care and keep taking the money off people who cant afford it
Got to admit, it's hard to find alot to complain about with Lloyds, they've certainly taken the intiative over most of the high street banks, when it comes to overdrafts and a 24hr period of grace.
Yea....If you take the p-ss, then they'll cream you just like the rest, but if your half sensible about it, they're one of the better ones out there.
No.....I don't work for Lloyds, they just own me.

Barclays were pretty good to me. I went overdrawn for the first time in about 6 years. I had a marker on my account stating good account keeper. They rang me told me about the overdrawn amount and told me as long as I cleared it within 7 days, there was no charge. Spot on customer service for me.
Paid in the amount same day, no hassle, job done. NO overdraft or credit card either
