Laptop advise
I'm in the market for a new laptop. I have a huge issue with the heat my present Vaio (intel Processor 4) laptop kicks out through the side fan and if you slightly cover the bottom fan it proper slows everything down and it drives me nuts
So guys which are the best laptop processors to get these days that run relatively cool

the problem is the P4 m8, that cpu does generate lots of heat. you want the core duo ones, that with their power management optimized wont drive u nuts again.Wouldnt touch an AMD CPU with a barge pole but thats just personal opinion.
brands i trust in are HP and Lenovo (formerly IBM).
check out the lenovo thinkpads, they been my choice for yrs

if u want more advice PM me or msn

buy a normal laptop and dont buy a crap mac
and if yu want OS X just install it on the NORMAL, NOT MAC laptop computer
as it would have no trouble running it

All depends what you use it for - most people buy an over specced penis compensator!LOL
You can buy a decent dell laptop for between Ł300 Ł450 on ebay that will have more power than most could ever wish for.....
Take a look at something like a DELL d620 on ebay... want something ultra cheap then look at a dell d400 or dell d410...

I don't know nuffink about computers and that kerfuffle so I got a load of what/which/shopper magazines and chose the one that came out at the top or towards the top of all the reviews.
I got an Acer Aspire [gemstone] 7720 as they kept being mentioned. I paid Ł700 [minus the vat] and the spec was better than alot of the stuff I looked at. 17" screen, loads of buttons and stuff and pretty lights that flash on and off, or sometimes stay on completely!
Apparently the styling was by BMW. So far I haven't found a switch for any indicators so it may be true.

Well, Ginge ! 95% of the computers in the world runs windows
therefore
and as said, i dont like MAC´s as i go bananas as the 1 button mouse. and OS X.
I mainly run windows, but i also run Linux and have been a big fan of it a couple of years
